行政院長毛治國宣布北部地區第三階段限水措施經延後一個星期，到4月8日才啟動，行政院發言人孫立群進一步解釋，經濟部今天上午召開水情會議，認為近期降雨情況好轉，經濟部認為可以應付一個星期的需求，由於適逢清明節長假，不至於對民眾生活造成影響，因此決定延後啟動限水措施，不過毛治國還是呼籲民眾應該要節約用水，度過難關。
孫立群：『由於最近降雨情況還算可以，經濟部評估各種數字和條件後，認為可以應給一個星期的時間，4月1日的三階段限水可以延到8日，這當然經過精密計算，當然也碰到清明節長假，希望不會讓民眾生活產生太大影響，當然院長還是呼籲水情還是很嚴峻，大家還是要注意節水。』
